Pino Toma was born in Rome and can safely be called a citizen of the world having lived and traveled continuously between the United States, Europe, Africa and Japan.

When he was very young, returning from the States after three years of activity as a radio and club DJ, he opened the historic and multi-awarded company STUDIO SMASH ONE, mother of Smash One Music (BMG Ariola), Santa Monica Publishing and Smash One Music France.

Many of his productions and collaborations with internationally renowned artists such as Harold Melvin, Phil Collins, Eric Clapton, Nancy Costa, Galvanica, Billy Preston, The O’Jays, Run DMC, Shannon, Tina Turner, Lean, Mark Knopfler, Amr Diab, Mike Francis, Norah Jones, Kool and the Gang, Boy George, Gipsy Kings, Busta Rhymes, Alex Cole, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Third World, Randy Crawford and many others.

In 1991 he enters the Guinness Book of Records by placing 4 singles in the Top 20 of the European charts from the first album IBERICA by the artist Belen Thomas, which he produced and launched on the market.

Later on, he wins in Festivalbar with the song “Survivor” performed by Mike Francis and B.Thomas.

Among his most important projects “THE PHILLY REUNION! PHILLY IS BACK AND STRONGER” with the most famous artists of Kennet Gamble’s legendary label Philadelphia International.

Today, Pino Toma lives in Greece although moving continuously waiting to move to Miami where he has just founded a new label, The 20 Twenty Records.
